Biographical Sketch

Marc B. Goldstein is a Professor of Psychology at CCSU and has been actively involved in the M.A. Program in Psychology since joining the faculty in 1978. He served as Chair of the Psychology Department from 1996-2000. Dr. Goldstein received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan with a specialty in Community Psychology. His areas of expertise include primary prevention of substance abuse, program evaluation and community assessment.

Over the past decade, Dr. Goldstein has been a consultant to both communities and human service organizations across the state, primarily in the area of program evaluation and needs assessment. He has made over 50 professional presentations at local and national conferences and has published more than 20 articles in professional journals.

Dr. Goldstein serves as an extended core faculty member with the Ed.D. program and is particularly interested in research on school climate, service-learning and program evaluation. He is also willing to assist Ed.D. students with research design/quantitative methodology and survey/questionnaire development issues.
