Students who already hold a bachelor’s degree may prepare for teacher certification through post-baccalaureate work in teacher education. These graduate programs lead to teacher certification in the State of Connecticut and do not result in a master’s degree.
Post-Baccalaureate students are considered graduate students and must apply to the graduate office for admission. After admission to the graduate school and advising, students apply to the School of Education and Professional Studies when eligible.
For preadmission information in some specific areas, contact:
Students with degrees from other countries should check the Connecticut Department of Education website for information about the evaluation of Foreign Credentials: http://www.sde.ct.gov/
